Spalling Concrete Repaired at Turkish Cement Factory
With cement manufacturing being the third largest industrial source of pollution, it is particularly important to assure a safe work environment within the plant. One of the largest cement factories in Turkey had leak trouble through damaged concrete walls at the base of their silos. On a daily basis, these two massive cylindrical silos carry a total of 7,000 tons of hot raw material used for cement production. After numerous unsuccessful repair attempts by factory engineers, they turned to ENECON for an outside solution.
The ENECON team removed old, ineffective concrete patches from prior repairs to clear the damaged. The areas were prepared with a rotary hammer.
